Boxes of Basics ~ Fauquier County

We’re thrilled to share that Boxes of Basics is now serving elementary schools in Fauquier County, along with children supported by the Fauquier Family Shelter Services and CASA.

This expansion reflects our belief that the Boxes of Basics model is not only impactful—but replicable. Our goal is to create a full-fledged Boxes of Basics presence in Fauquier County, and we’re looking for local champions to help us bring that vision to life.

Launching a new Boxes of Basics location in Fauquier is a big lift—but an exciting one!  To make it happen, we need:

• Additional donation drop-off locations
   
• Community funding to support building space, staff and logistics
   
• Dedicated volunteers ready to serve local kids
   

We’re grateful to already have our first donation site at Studio Luxe in Warrenton, and we’re eager to grow from there. If you believe in bringing dignity and confidence to children through clothing, we’d love your help.

At Boxes of Basics, we provide children with an entire seasonal wardrobe—including school outfits, play clothes, a winter coat, shoes, socks, underwear, and more. Every box is packed with love and care, empowering kids with confidence and the tools to thrive.

We partner with school counselors, social workers, faith leaders, and local agencies to make sure each child receives clothing that fits their needs—and their style.

Founded in Prince William County in 2018, Boxes of Basics has already distributed nearly 6,000 Boxes of Basics to local children. Our mission is built on compassion, dignity, and the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and confident.
