HOW TO REQUEST A BOX

STEP 1: QUALIFY

We work with many referral partners to distribute Boxes of Basics in Prince William County, The City of Manassas & The City of Manassas Park, and several locations within Northern Virginia.

We do not work directly with families.

If you are a professional who works with youth and families in need then you qualify. Examples are school social workers, teachers, guidance counselors, community leaders, church staff, doctors' office staff, day care staff, other nonprofits, and more.

STEP 2: SUBMIT REQUEST

We support children and families through trusted community referral partners who may submit requests on behalf of the families they serve using our Portal below.

To ensure every family receives thoughtful and coordinated support, requests are accepted exclusively through our referral partners.

STEP 3: DELIVERY/PICK-UP

Boxes of Basics are typically ready for delivery or pick-up in Prince William County, Manassas, or Manassas Park two weeks after the request. Once you submit your request form, you should receive a confirmation email within 48 hours with specific delivery or pick-up instructions.

Boxes of Basics are delivered to the person who requested the boxes. This person is responsible for delivering the Box of Basics to the child(ren). In order to protect the privacy of the children, we do not deliver directly to families. We rely heavily on volunteers. To help us, we encourage you to pick up your Boxes of Basics is possible.

Boxes of Basics follows the PWC School Calendar. When schools are closed, our offices and operations are also closed.
