Boxes of Basics Comes to Remington!
We are thrilled to share that Boxes of Basics has the keys to our second location at 201 E. Main Street in Remington, VA!
We’re still getting our space up and running, but don’t worry—we’re planning a Grand Opening celebration, and you’ll be the first to know!
As we expand into Fauquier County, we’re excited to start small again, growing with the community and reaching even more children facing clothing insecurity. Boxes of Basics only works when a community comes together to support its children—and that’s where you come in. You can help us build momentum by following us on social media and sharing our mission with your friends and network. The more people who know, the more children we can serve.

Why It Matters - A Note from the Founder
A Box of Basics can change the life of a child and bring real relief to a family.
At the core of everything we do are the children we serve. It may seem simple; we provide clothing to kids who need it most, but the way we do it matters. Every box is packed with care, compassion, and dignity.
Just this past week, I heard a story about a single father of three who was struggling to provide. When his children received their Boxes of Basics, they opened them with excitement described as “better than Christmas morning.”
But what stood out to our referring partner most was the father.
As he watched his children try on their new clothes, there was a visible sense of relief on his face. In that moment, it wasn’t just about clothing, it was about dignity, support, and knowing he wasn’t alone.
We see you. We know you’re trying. And as a community, we’ve got you.
That’s why we’re here and we can’t wait for you to be part of something truly special.
