At Boxes of Basics, we believe every child deserves to feel confident, valued, and loved. Through the Faith in Action Circle, we invite local congregations to join us in a shared ministry of service, dignity, and compassion.

The Faith in Action Circle is a growing network of churches, synagogues, and other houses of worship committed to walking alongside Boxes of Basics in our mission to clothe children in need. Together, we can ensure that every child in our community has the clothing they need to feel confident, cared for, and ready to thrive.

Congregations can participate in one—or both—of these meaningful ways:

Designate your place of worship as a year-round collection site for children’s clothing and essentials. This creates a visible and ongoing opportunity for your members to give directly to local families in need. We encourage sharing this ministry in bulletins, announcements, and social media to build a strong culture of giving within your community.

A recurring contribution—even a modest one—helps us meet growing needs with consistency and care. Financial support allows us to purchase missing clothing items, cover operational costs, and respond quickly to urgent requests.

In the past year alone, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Boxes of Basics served more than 2,000+ children across Prince William County and surrounding areas. Each box—filled with new and gently used clothing tailored to a child’s size, style, and needs—offers more than clothing. It provides dignity. It tells a child: You are seen. You are valued. You are cared for.
