We are excited to build our team at the new Remington location and are currently hiring two part-time positions. These roles will work closely together to bring the Boxes of Basics model to Fauquier County.
We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about our mission, willing to roll up their sleeves, and eager to be part of something meaningful. With a strong, proven model already in place, we will provide the structure and support needed to help you succeed.
This is a unique opportunity to help launch and grow a new location while making a direct impact on children in need—with room for growth over time.
Both positions will begin at 10-15 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours as the location expands.
Our schedule aligns with the Fauquier County Public Schools calendar, with primarily weekday hours and occasional evening or weekend events. Training will take place at our headquarters in Manassas.

Community Development Coordinator
This role helps build local awareness and support for our Remington location. As a community-facing representative of Boxes of Basics, responsibilities include grant writing, sponsor and donor outreach, event planning, and building meaningful partnerships. This position will also work closely with the Site Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day operations and will lead volunteer shifts as needed.
Operations Coordinator
This role supports the day-to-day operations of the Remington site, including coordinating volunteer shifts, managing inventory, and leading the packing and distribution of Boxes of Basics to our referring partners. This position will work closely with the Community Development Coordinator to support outreach operations and will support events as needed.
